The Tri Lakes Summer Run Series is designed to support members keep focused on training and connected with club mates.
After a hugely successful cycle-turbo challenge, we look forward to as many members as possible
logging on for our 13-week run challenge. Tri Lakes also invites friends and other club members to
participate.

  • The Summer Run Series will take place over a 13-week period with the objective of building
    up to a Half Marathon distance.
  • Week 1 kicks off on Monday 1 st June, with the final run being completed by 30 th August.
  • Each week you will complete and log one ‘virtual’ run which will build gradually from 5k to 10k to 15k to half marathon (see table below) over the 13 weeks.
  • We recommend Tri Lakes club members to fit in a “quality” speed session each week to improve your pace while also building endurance. Many thanks to Neil Campbell for providing these sessions, which will be emailed to club members each week. You will not need to record completion or any stats in relation to this session.
  • At the end of the Run Series, each participant will receive a certificate with the distances completed and the times recorded throughout the series.

Points to Note:

  • Only 1 run per week to be uploaded i.e. the designated ‘distance’ for that week e.g. 5k, 8k,
    10k, etc.
  • Once you have registered with MyRunResults you should key in your details manually i.e.
    date, time and distance or copy and paste a link from Garmin/Strava if on a laptop, or
  • upload a screenshot from your phone
  • You can complete and upload the designated weekly run anytime during the week.However, it is not possible to retrospectively upload your run so ensure that your run time is logged by 12 midnight every Sunday.
  • At the end of the Run Series, each participant will receive a certificate with the distances completed and the times recorded throughout the series.

This event is open so please share it with friends and athletics clubs.
