With almost 100 adult members and 46 juniors in the club, we would like to have a few more Tri Leaders come on board to support our coaches, especially with the junior squad.  The TRI Leader course is Triathlon Ireland’s introductory course for those who wish to help at their club or progress to coaching. It covers topics such as health and safety, rules of the sport and role of a TRI Leader. This course would enable you to:

• Set up a session and assist a coach during a session
• Help run and understand a junior session which was planned by a coach.
• Supervise at TI events and sessions (Triathlon Ireland 2018).

If you think you may like to help out with the juniors next season you would also need to complete the Safeguarding course and be Garda vetted. The Safeguarding course is a 3-hour course run in the evening. Contact Stephen or Elimar (086)8544154 with any queries re same.
Both courses should hopefully be run in Galway/Mayo. There is more information regarding these on the Triathlon Ireland website.
