As some of you are aware there has been an influx of Jelly Fish in Galway bay over the last week.
Ladies beach was closed on Saturday and although open on Sunday a number of swimmers were stung by Lions Main Jellyfish and some were hospitalized.
Galway Triathlon club has canceled their swimming session due to the presence of the jellyfish.
We don’t want anyone to be alarmed and stop swimming but would like people to be informed regarding the current situation so they came make informed decisions.
It may be wise to obtain some local knowledge before heading to the Salthill area.
