Tri Leaders needed

We are looking for some members to complete the Tri-Leader course.

The club will cover the cost of this.

It is the first step on Triathlon Ireland’s coaching ladder but it is also suitable for those who just want to help out at sessions or events.

Topics covered include World of Triathlon, Code of Ethics, Health & Safety, Role of a TriLeader, communication, coaching juniors.

It is especially helpful if you’re interested in helping out with the juniors in the summer.

Some of ye have it done before but it may be out-of-date.

This is a one day course, usually on a Saturday, date to be confirmed. If interested please contact Stephen at (086)3925754

Club Events of the Year

Our club events for 2019 are Westport and Joey Hannan.

We picked these because they are easy to get to, they have multiple distances and they are popular races.

Once again we will hold the ‘Predict your Time’ awards. By doing this, everyone has the same chance of winning.

We couldn’t have the speedies winning everything, now could we! So, closer to the time, we will ask you to predict the time you will finish your race in and whoever gets closest to their time wins the prize!

Knockma Duathlon

The Knockma Duathlon will take place on Saturday 30th March.

This is a great target to aim for during winter training. It would be great to see a big turnout from our own members.

Early bird entries are now open and over 100 have entered already!
