Meet our vibrant and committed committee
Every team needs its leaders and TriLakes is no different, we have been lucky in securing the very best committee members from our first idea all the way through to today.
Meet the current committee below and don’t hesitate to contact them if you have any queries.
Stephen joined the club in 2015 and quickly became one of the TriLakes family.
The addiction to the sport soon took over and he has completed Ironman, Olympic and Sprint events.
Back in 2009 after having my first child i decided to jump onto the fitness trend!
I then joined tri lakes in 2010 and have competed in various distance triathlon.
I enjoy the social aspect of this club and meeting up with friends to train.
A member of Trilakes since the club was formed, I’ve been triathlon training for nearly 10 years and coaching for the last 5.
I love open water swimming in particular but really enjoy the challenge and variety of the three disciplines in Tri.
Adrian joined Tri Lakes in 2010 but wouldn‘t swim, couldn’t cycle and hated running. He has gone on to complete triathlons in all distances from sprint to full Ironman has thrown in a few Dublin & London marathons & cycled from Mizen to Malin along the way as well.
Adrian is also a Technical Official with Triathlon Ireland was race director for the clubs Quietman Triathlon & has been a member of the club committee since 2011.
None of this would have been possible without the help & encouragement from all in Tri Lakes TC.
I got into Triathlon back in 2012. I had been doing a little cycling & running. Nearly drowned my first evening at the Tuam Masters but did the Loughrea Sprint that year. I‘m so delighted I found the Tri Lakes crew - you couldn’t find a nicer, sounder bunch of people. Always so welcoming and always looking out for each other. I did catch the Ironman bug, did my first in 2014 in Tenby, Wales because it was ‘logistically’ the easiest according to John Mongan!! Did my 4th in Copenhagen last year and taking a break this year so we’ll see what 2019 brings.
